Brenda's yoga journey began in 2007 as part of her fitness routine, but she quickly found that an embodied yoga practice was so much more than a physical discipline. Brenda believes that asana, breath-work, and meditation free the mind and body to listen, heal, and experience communion with our Creator. It is her heart to bear witness to and encourage her students to find freedom and expression out of their innate desire for alignment and connection. In doing so, experiencing a fully embodied practice, heart, soul, mind and body. Brenda has also completed Masters level training with Holy Yoga (500 hr), Holy Yoga Touch Training, Holy Yoga Trauma Sensitive Training and the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Training Program. Brenda offers a selection of private sessions by appointment.
Brenda lives in the Village of Mariemont with her husband, Brad, and is the mother of three daughters.
Rachel began practicing yoga on and off starting in 2007. She discovered that she loved the physical practice and the calming mental benefits, but longed for the full integration of a Christ honoring spiritual practice. Rachel is so thankful for the community and environment that is Worthy Yoga! "The worshipful practice encourages growth in a personal connection to Jesus which stimulates an outward posture of love". By practicing Holy Yoga, Rachel feels that she is growing in what it means to worship, love and serve Jesus with all of her heart, soul, mind and strength, and she hopes to share that with others.
Rachel lives in Reading, Ohio with her wonderful husband James. They are members of New City Presbyterian Church in Norwood, Ohio. Rachel also works as a school based occupational therapy assistant and loves to practice yoga with all of the students she feels honored to work with.
Todd took his first yoga class at the suggestion of a spiritual director and was amazed at how quickly the experience became a “bodily prayer.” He began practicing regularly in 2014 after noticing how yoga consistently stilled his heart and mind, paving the way for meditation and prayer. Wanting to learn more, he completed his RYT200 training in 2015 with Living Waters and Yahweh Yoga with an additional 95 hr training with Holy Yoga. “I am just a normal guy who has found in Christian yoga a meaningful way to connect body mind and spirit. I love helping others find that same connection, inviting and encouraging them on their unique journey toward God and themselves.” In addition to teaching Yoga, Todd is active in the Christian ministry, He is an instructor and Director of Sustainable Faith’s School of Spiritual Direction, while also leading his own spiritual direction practice.
He and his wife Cynthia have been married since 1985, have three children and three grandchildren.
Amy began her yoga practice in 2003. While she loved the flexibility and strength that developed through her practice, she longed to be part of a yoga community that honored Christ. Her prayer was answered when a small blurb in a community newspaper lead her to the Worthy Yoga studio. At Worthy she found a welcoming community that abounds in love, grace and authenticity.
Amy is passionate about encouraging others on their lifelong journey of spiritual formation, the process by which God forms the very character of Jesus in His followers. She has experienced a deepening of her relationship with God through Christian meditation and enjoys sharing opportunities to practice this listening side of prayer with others.
Leslie began integrating yoga into her workouts after being diagnosed with asthma in 2005. It wasn't long before she became a regular practitioner as well as an enthusiastic proponent of the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga. After participating in just one class at Worthy Yoga, she felt called to pursue Holy Yoga training. Leslie completed her 225 HY training in May, 2015. She feels incredibly blessed to be on this journey and to be part of the Worthy family.
Leslie and her husband, Mark live in Mariemont and are the parents of two daughters and a son.
Lauren began her yoga journey in 2007 with a busy mind and imbalanced flow. While she always enjoyed the mobility and strengthening benefit, she struggled to find inner peace as she worked through each pose. It wasn’t until 2016 that she discovered her love for yoga by adding meditation, mantra and prayer to her practice.
A former dancer and family member of Missionaries, Franciscan Friars and Priests, Lauren fell in love with Christ-centered yoga and its balance of beautiful, fluid movement and spirituality. She is so honored to join the Worthy Yoga team, in which she hopes to create peace for all.
Lauren lives in Hyde Park where she runs her Creative Consulting business, Pax Consulting. In addition to Yoga, Lauren instructs Barre, Bootcamp, Pilates Reformer and Mini Trampoline classes, and coaches Integrative Nutrition and Personal Training.
Julie has been taking yoga classes on and off for several years. Yoga provides so many amazing health benefits including increasing flexibility, core strength, promoting good body alignment, and in the end, Julie believes it can improve one’s overall mental health – for example: relieving stress and anxiety. In 2016, Julie decided she wanted to start teaching yoga and share its goodness with others. And in the summer of 2016 (through the grace of God), Julie happened to discover Worthy Yoga Studio on-line. So she signed up for a class and fell in love with this concept of honoring God the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit through one’s yoga practice. In 2017, Julie officially obtained her Holy Yoga teaching certification, and also went through Touch Training and Yogalates Training through Holy Yoga. Julie feels so blessed to be given the opportunity to share God’s word and Yoga with others.
Amy is a passionate, outgoing Mom to four kids and wife to a science superstar. In the hectic scene of the everyday, yoga brings a peace, calm, and center that reminds her of the “peace that passes understanding” Jesus speaks of. While new to teaching, her yoga experience has given her a true love for the mindfulness it brings to her busy world. She completed 225 hour instructor training with Holy Yoga, Christ centered yoga and is currently enrolled in their Masters course. She hopes for all of you to encounter the Holy Spirit in a gentle and loving way and learn to worship in a new way, with your mind, body, and emotions.

As a dance fitness instructor for over ten years, Karin began taking yoga classes as a more gentle form of exercise in 2013. Through the years, Karin has earnestly discovered that the practice of Yoga can be so much more than “an alternative form of exercise”. For Karin, Yoga is a practice that enables her to more richly seek God and intentionally be in His presence. The benefits of creating that intricate connection of the Heart, Soul, Mind and Body is a powerful thread that provides benefits far beyond exercise alone.
Karin got her 200hr RYT certification in summer of 2017. Looking back at her journey, Karin now realizes that she was lead to be right here in the christian based yoga community of Worthy sharing her love for God with others who are searching for an enriched experience that includes meditation and prayer. Knowing that God is weaving this beautiful partnership gives her a great sense of peace and gratitude. Karin’s favorite bible verse is Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” As an instructor today, she brings that discovery to each class she leads.
Kate first stepped inside of a yoga studio in 2009 seeking a means to reduce stress while increasing physical strength. She quickly realized that the physical benefits of her yoga practice paled in comparison to the mental clarity and peace experienced after a blissful flow. Working in healthcare, Kate has come to respect the power held within the mind-body connection. She is particularly interested in research exploring breathwork as an instrument to manage mental health diagnoses. She stumbled upon Holy Yoga through a Holy Yoga Experience event in August 2017. Have you ever felt as if you found something you didn’t know you were looking for? Well, that’s the best way she can describe her heart by the end of that HY event - she knew she had found something special. Shortly thereafter, she was welcomed into the Worthy Yoga community and felt immediately at home. Eager to deepen her practice, she dove into training and became certified in April 2018. She is looking forward to continuing to grow in community and provide her expression of this beautiful practice.
