Kelly Richey is an international touring artist who has released 16 CDs and earned a reputation as a master guitarist and singer/songwriter. Kelly has been described as “Stevie Ray Vaughan trapped in a woman’s body.” In addition to her reputation as an artist, Kelly is a dedicated guitar instructor who is passionate about inspiring students to learn.
In 2005 Kelly formed Music for Change (M4C) is a Cincinnati-based 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization focused on providing guitar instruction workshops, songwriting programs, and online guitar lessons to underserved and underfunded schools and communities nationwide including the Guitars 4 Vets program.
In 2008 Kelly her quest for personal growth and healing, and committed to a life of sobriety. By 2012, Kelly had gained certifications and a True Purpose Coach™ and Dream Coach™ and started her coaching and consulting practice, Powered by Intention. Kelly’s mission is to create a safe space for people to heal themselves, and to inspire those who seek deeper meaning in their lives.
Suffering from dyslexia since childhood, Kelly Richey developed her own methods to overcome this debilitating problem. In 2015, Richey became a writing facilitator through Women Writing for (a) Change and formed, A Piece of Paper Always Listens, her second nonprofit organization focused on providing writing workshops and incorporating writing practices into her private coaching sessions.
Deeply committed to her spiritual journey, Kelly is currently in training to become a Spiritual Director through Wellstreams Spiritually Network in Columbus, OH. Kelly shares her story as an inspirational speaker and continues her work as a performing artist.
